Launched in 2023 by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA), the UPT20 League is India's premier state-level T20 cricket tournament — a homegrown platform for fierce rivalries, die-hard fans, and rising stars.
With the highest number of IPL selections from any domestic state league, UPT20 has become the most successful state league in Indian cricket’s talent pipeline. Six cities. Six fearless teams. One trophy.
From the defending champions Meerut Mavericks to the intense and tactical Noida Kings, the six UPT20 franchises reflect the cricketing pride of Uttar Pradesh. Each one: fuelled by local pride and hungry for the glory of victory.
The UP T20 League is powered by a leadership team deeply committed to cricket development across Uttar Pradesh and India. Shri Rajeev Shukla, Vice President of the BCCI and one of Indian cricket’s most influential voices, brings his vision and leadership to the UP T20 League.
A veteran sports administrator and Parliamentarian, he has long championed grassroots development and talent discovery. Working alongside him, Dr. D. S. Chauhan steers league operations with discipline, integrity, and a clear mission — to make Uttar Pradesh a powerhouse of cricketing excellence and opportunity.
